Prof. Dr. Athanasios Kamoutsis
President of the Greek Society  for the Protection of Autistic Persons

Dr. Athanasios Kamoutsis is an Assistant Professor on “Agricultural Meteorology and

Bioclimatology” in the Agricultural University of Athens, A.U.A. (School of Plant

Sciences. He has Degree in Agricultural Science (BSc), of A.U.A., MSc in Meteorology, of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a PhD Thesis of A.U.A. on Agricultural Meteorology entitled “Contribution to the study of the effect of meteorological parameters on the efficacy of the applications with ‘paclobutrazol" and "triapenthenol" on gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides, Ellis). His current research interests focused mainly to the effect of microclimate and topoclimate conditions on plant phenology, and to the study of weather and climate conditions that prevail in agricultural environments and their interactions with the plant development. He has taught for the past 25 years in universities the graduate and post-graduate courses related to the topics of meteorology and climatology. Also he has participated as a member of the research teams and as a scientific director in research projects during the last thirty years. He is the co-author of two books and of publications in scientific journals and in proceedings of international and national conferences. He is a reviewer and editor of scientific research journals and his publications are cited by researchers all over the world. He is Chairman of the Board of the Greek Society of the Protection of Autistic People (GSPAP) and representative of this Society at the Autism-Europe (AE) Council of Administration. He has been a member of scientific committees of panhellenic scientific conferences on autism. It is noted that G.S.P.A.P. is an organization, which was founded in 1992 and today has more than 1000 members, parents or brothers of people with autism, as well as scientists on autism. The purpose of this Society is the advocacy of the rights of people with autism and their families to life. The G.S.PA.P. has two boarding houses in Thessaloniki and Ioannina and a day care center in Attica for adult autistic people that are financed by the Greek Ministry of Health.

Prof. Dr. Markos Sgantzos, MD

President of the Hellenic Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine

Dr. Markos Sgantzos is an Associate Professor in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Thessaly. He is the President of the Hellenic Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and a board member of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM). He is the President of the Classification Committee of the Hellenic Wheelchair Basketball Federation, a Classifier from IWBF for Greece and a Member of the Hellenic Society of Sports and Medicine executive committee. He has supervised 6 doctoral theses and is a member of the advisory committee in 14 other doctoral theses; he has over 50 Lectures at national and international congresses and has published more than 140 scientific papers.

Prof. Dr. Ghulam Md Ashraf

Dr. Ghulam Md Ashraf is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Research Institute for Medical and Health Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Sharjah, Sharjah, U.A.E. He has more than 16 years of combined teaching, research and innovation experience in biological and medical sciences. His field of research is related to biochemical investigation in neurological manifestation. Dr. Ashraf has published close to 400 publications with an impressive H-index of 58 and more than 12000 citations to his articles. Dr. Ashraf has been involved in close to 25 research projects as PI and CoI. He is also involved as editor in some highly reputed Q1 journals like Journal of Advanced Research, Scientific Reports, PLoS One and Current Neuropharmacology. Dr. Ashraf has also been recognized by some renowned societies like Royal Society of Medicine, Royal Society of Biology and American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Recently, Dr. Ashraf has been recognized as World Expert in Alzheimer’s disease and Nervous system disease and have also been listed in top 2% scientists.


Prof. Dr Leandros Lefakis

Dr. Leandros Lefakis has studied law in the Universities of Athens (cum laude), London and Kent (distinction). He received his PhD with summa cum laude in Law from the University of Athens (2003).  He is a member of the Athens Bar Association (appointed at the Supreme Court) and he specializes in commercial, banking and intellectual property law, both in contentious and non-contentious matters. He has particularly focused his practice in patent and biotechnology law matters. Ηe is the managing partner of “Dr Leandros Lefakis Law Firm”. Ηe was appointed as an assistant Professor of Law at the University of Central Greece (2005-2012) and was invited as visiting Professor for graduate and postgraduate courses at Panteion University of Athens and University of Athens. He has represented and advised companies in cases arising from banking and investment disputes as well as biotechnology companies and institutes in disputes arising from intellectual property rights and contracts. He often provides legal opinions on complex regulatory and other issues. Currently, he advises major pharmaceutical companies in their operations including healthcare contracts, compliance programs and regulatory issues. His experience in the area of intellectual property, regulation and legislation enables him to offer support on both contentious and non-contentious issues covering the standard areas such as trademarks, copyrights, patents and domain names. He was member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Intellectual Property Organisation (2006-2011) and has acted as advisor to various Governmental Organizations andInstitutions of public law as well as an advisor to the Greek Minister of Culture (2008-2012). He has written four books and numerous articles in the field of intellectual property, bioethics and biotechnology law. At the moment he is a scientific collaborator of several scientific institutions and a permanent editing collaborator of the periodical Journal of Company Law, President of the Bioethics Committee of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute and visiting Professor of Bioethics at the University of West Attica (Department of Biomedical Sciences).

Prof. Dr. Marios Papadakis, MD

Dr. Marios Papadakis is a certified general and plastic surgery specialist, currently affiliated with the University of Witten-Herdecke in Germany. He earned his MD and PhD from the University of Crete, Greece, and holds an MBA in healthcare management from the University of Nürnberg, Germany. Dr. Papadakis is active in the private sector and certified as an editor in the life sciences. His research focuses on microsurgery, skin cancer, medical image processing, wound healing, healthcare management, and scientific writing, particularly in authorship proliferation. He has authored more than 200 scientific publications.

Prof. Dr. Athanasios Alexiou

Dr. Athanasios Alexiou is a Professor of Computational Biology and is the Head of Research & Education at Funogen Research Company in Greece and AFNP Med Company in Austria, an Adjunct Professor at the University Centre for Research & Development at Chandigarh University in India, and the Department of Science and Engineering at the Novel Global Community Education Foundation. He also collaborates in joint projects with international research teams from several institutions, including the Yerevan State University, King Abdulaziz University, the University of Sharjah, the Damanhour University and the Witten/Herdecke University.
His primary research interest includes developing novel mathematical models and algorithms in neurodegenerative diseases, prognostic Bayesian tools, AI and ML methods, identifying molecular mechanisms of infectious diseases, cancer biomarkers, and the ethical implications of scientific research. He serves as an Associate Editor in highly reputed journals like the Frontiers in Genetics and Pharmacology in the Section of ELSI, the Frontiers in Neuroscience and Psychology Journals, as a Section Editor in the Current Alzheimer Research journal, etc. He is the author of more than 250 peer-reviewed articles/chapters/books in high-impact publications and five filled patents; Prof. Athanasios Alexiou is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science and highly ranked in the Computational Biomedicine field.
